We are currently seeking Barn Owls
as education or display birds, as well as a second
screech owl and Broad-Winged Hawk to keep our current residents
company. If
available bird is full-flighted, we'll build larger enclosures to suit.

Great Horned has insulated Roost Box
Left: Broad-Winged Hawk Enclosure: 8W x8L x 7H.
Center: Heater Box is separated from roost box by vinyl-coated one inch wire mesh.
Heater Box uses one 60 watt and one 40 watt ceramic heat lamps,
which are thermostatically turned on when temperature drops to 32 degrees.
Red-Tailed Hawk Enclosure: 12.5L x 10. 5W x 9H & Barn Owl enclosure (under construction): 12.5L x 10. 5W x 9H
Barn owl enclosure will be finished Friday, 10/31/08, and will look like Great-Horned enclosure,
except for smaller Roost Box and Heater Box using same principal as Broad-Winged and screech owl Heater Box.
Cree and Sammie live in an enclosure that measures 100 feet at its longest , and 40 feet at its widest.
These rascals also go on a one mile hike once or twice a day, depending on weather.
